Update on Sydney’s data analytics market

The Data Science & Analytics (DSA) market in Sydney has consistently improved since 2015 and I believe we’re in for an amazing year in 2020. We’ve got a much stronger candidate pool due to the improved academic options and breadth of clients hiring for DSA candidates. This has led to a steep increase in salary demands. However, something that does surprise me is how often I hear clients say that they’re struggling to find the right person in the market or say that it took them 3-4 months to hire someone.
It’s been almost three years since I started the Data Science & Analytics recruitment arm of Sterning and we’ve now got an extensive coded database of specialist Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Campaign Analysts & Data Engineers ranging from Mid-Senior level ($70-200k).
